Poetry (general submissions)

Please Note: Due to an overwhelming backlog of submissions, we will not be accepting new poems until January 2026. Thank you for your patience! If you have something submitted to us, we apologize for the lengthy response time and assure you that we will complete our existing queue before accepting new work in this genre. 

General Guideslines:

We look for voices, forms, conceits, logics, and occasions that surprise us. We like poems that teach us something new about what poetry can do, be, or say. We want weird poems and vulnerable poems and challenging poems and many other kinds of poems. We insist that we don't have a particular aesthetic, though we probably do (who doesn't?). At any rate, we are always trying to disrupt the patterns we, as editors, fall into--so please send us those poems that disrupt and resist.

Please send no more than 5 poems per submission. You are welcome to submit more than once per submission period. Please upload your work in one document with a .doc or .docx extension.
